Future Goals:
play as much lacrosse as possible at the highest level of competition as possible, be lucky enough to be invited to play for a US college and get a great education.
What inspires you:
the love of the game! I have always been athletic since I was a young boy playing hockey, swimming and lacrosse. I have always had a competitive nature even when it comes to getting high grades in school. I set high personal standards for myself.
Hometown (city/state):
Calgary, Alberta Canada
My setup:
I play ATTACK in field lacrosse, however, I also play mid-fielder and I can swing a mean "pole"! I also play box lacrosse where I play both forward and defense and I'm on the special teams. Box lacrosse has given me strong stick skills and I can dangle all day!
Strengths:
my focus for the game, my maturity, leadership qualities (I'm usually selected for captain on most teams I play on), I educate myself on lacrosse as much as possible spending every minute I can watching games off the internet and researching plays and equipment. I work out everyday in my basement to constantly improve myself. As a player I'm very aggressive and not afraid to try anything. My favorite thing to do is work the ball down the field and set up my teammates for the goal
Weaknesses:
hmmm ... I'm sure my coaches could think of something. (ha)
How did you get started:
My hockey coach suggested I try it at the end of the hockey season. He brought a lacrosse stick to practice and showed me how to cradle and throw. The rest is history!!
| In the next 5 years where would you like to see yourself?
Anything else you want to add: |
seeing as much of the US as possible, meeting other players who have the same love for the game, receiving as much coaching as possible to best prepare me for recruiting camps and clinics. Ultimately I want to be invited to some colleges for school and to play lacrosse at the same time. I want to look back on my youth and remember how important a role lacrosse played in my life.
